ESE Advance+
Lightning rod with high-performance ignition device
Thanks to its robust construction and the selection of materials resistant to corrosion and adverse environmental conditions, the ESE ADVANCE+ guarantees effective, stable and long-lasting protection against lightning. This solution is especially suitable for projects that require high levels of reliability and operational continuity.
With the ESE ADVANCE+, facilities have a lightning protection system prepared to respond safely and efficiently even in the most demanding conditions.

Every detail of the ESE ADVANCE+ is designed to ensure precise, safe and long-lasting operation. Its technical parameters allow us to know the performance of the equipment, its main dimensions and the protection radii obtained according to the applicable regulations.

The ESE ADVANCE+ guarantees the operation of its priming device and its effectiveness in protection in extreme rain conditions thanks to the ISOLATED RAIN system.
This system guarantees total insulation in adverse atmospheric conditions provided by the Vault OF ELECTRODE IONIZATION. This vault prevents rain from putting the metal body of the lightning rod (at atmospheric potential) into electrical contact with the metal shaft (at ground potential).
When a ESE does not have this insulation guarantee and adverse atmospheric conditions occur, such as heavy rain, the electrodes of different potential may come into contact and cause a short circuit in the priming device that prevents the lightning rod from offering the necessary safety, drastically reducing its protection radius.
The advance time of a ESE lightning rod represents the anticipation with which the device emits the ascending tracer with respect to a simple collector tip located under the same conditions. This parameter, expressed in microseconds, is what allows the protection radius of the equipment to be determined based on the actual installation height and the level of protection required.
The greater the advance time, the greater the capacity for anticipation in the connection process with the downward ray tracer and, therefore, the greater the coverage radius calculated according to the applicable regulations. The protection radii are not fixed values, but depend directly on the ESE model, the height of the collector tip above the area to be protected and the protection level selected.
The ESE Advance+ range allows the installation to be adapted to different risk scenarios, from small structures to industrial buildings or areas open, optimizing the number of sensors needed and guaranteeing effective protection against direct lightning strikes.
