The SIGMA+ ESE is a lightning rod with a primer device designed to offer effective and reliable protection against atmospheric discharges in residential, commercial, small industrial and general purpose buildings. Its technology allows improving the ignition advance time, optimizing the protection radius and guaranteeing a rapid response to lightning formation.

Advance times and Protection Radius

The advance time of a ESE lightning rod represents the anticipation with which the device emits the ascending tracer with respect to a simple collector tip located under the same conditions. This parameter, expressed in microseconds, is what allows the protection radius of the equipment to be determined based on the actual installation height and the level of protection required.

The greater the advance time, the greater the capacity for anticipation in the connection process with the downward ray tracer and, therefore, the greater the coverage radius calculated according to the applicable regulations. The protection radii are not fixed values, but depend directly on the ESE model, the height of the collector tip above the area to be protected and the protection level selected.

The SIGMA+ ESE range allows the installation to be adapted to different risk scenarios, from small structures to industrial buildings or open areas, optimizing the number of sensors needed and guaranteeing effective protection against direct lightning strikes.

ADVANCE STABILIZATION IN PRIMING

The dual energy block allows a maximum deviation of 5% in the advance time based on the product certification regulations.

ELECTRIC ARC ELONGATION

Prevents the deposition of highly conductive carbon on the ESE electrodes, maintaining its potential difference and preventing self-discharge of the energy block.

WATER INSULATION INSURANCE

It allows the ESE electrodes to be kept isolated, maintaining their potential difference at all times in conditions of extreme rain due to the displacement of electrons. By having a dual energy block, the charging of the main system is ensured.
